Salt Lake City Marketing Veteran Dee Brewer Joins City Creek Center

SALT LAKE CITY MARKETING VETERAN DEE BREWER JOINS CITY CREEK CENTER
SALT LAKE CITY, March 10, 2011 — Salt Lake City-based marketing executive Dee Brewer has been named marketing & sponsorship director for City Creek Center, the shopping and entertainment centerpiece of the major mixed-use downtown development opening in March of next year. Effective immediately, Brewer will be responsible for shopping center marketing and sponsorship activities, tourism, community relations, and developing programs and events.
Located directly across from Temple Square, City Creek Center will feature approximately 700,000 square feet of retail and restaurants within the shopping center and an additional 60,000 square feet of adjacent retail. The center anchors and complements the 23-acre City Creek master plan developed by City Creek Reserve, Inc. When completed in 2012, the sustainably designed, walkable urban community of offices, residences and shops will make Salt Lake City one of just a few in the nation with a vibrant, mixed-use development at its core.
Brewer brings over 20 years of marketing experience to City Creek Center. Most recently he served as assistant vice president of marketing for University of Utah Health Care and University of Utah Health Sciences, where he led successful branding, strategic marketing and sponsorship initiatives. Prior to that he founded and operated Dee Brewer & Associates Strategic Communications Solutions, a marketing and public relations agency focused on the Salt Lake City hospitality and health care industries. He has also worked in public affairs and communications for PacifiCare Health Systems, the March of Dimes Utah Chapter and Barker and Jorgensen Advertising.
Actively supporting numerous community organizations, Brewer has served on boards for several local organizations. He holds a Bachelor of University Studies in marketing communication from the University of Utah.
City Creek Center opens March 22, 2012.
