Marketing Coordinator - City Creek Center/Full Time Posted May 3rd

Job Summary
Assist the Marketing and Sponsorship Director (MSD) with all marketing-related activities. Perform administrative duties in support of all department activities.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Events and Promotions
  • Manage the details of event and promotion implementation, including, but not limited to, the following areas: collateral, entertainment, merchant participation, resource interaction and support, staging, database tracking and measurement, and coordination of evaluations and accompanying materials for corporate and local reporting.  Work under the supervision of the MSD to spearhead development of new initiatives.

In-Center Collateral

  • Develop, supervise production, proofread and edit all collateral materials, including, but not limited to: directories, posters, press kits, letterhead, newsletters, shopping bags, event brochures, etc.  Under the general direction of the MSD, work with BHO, Foundation Center Marketing Department, in order to fulfill the requested information for center collateral.

Merchant Relations

  • Work with MSD, General Manager (GM) and Specialty Leasing to ensure positive relations between the mall management team and the Center merchants.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Editing, publishing and distributing merchant communications.  Work with the MSD to increase individual merchant sales, as well as overall center sales.

Customer Service (Infoplace)/Gift Card Program

  • Assist the MSD with the supervision of the Customer Service function and management of the Gift Card Program.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Working with the Customer Service Manager to ensure proper levels and quality of customer service, reporting and practice of policies and procedures.

Customer Service (Infoplace)/Ticketmaster Program

  • Assist the MSD with the management and monitoring of the Ticketmaster Program.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Working with the Customer Service Manager to ensure the proper level and quality of customer service, accurate reporting and adherence to all policies and procedures, as they relate to the Ticketmaster sales.

Sponsorship Coordination

  • Assist with the coordination of corporate and local sponsorship events, and additional details, as necessary.

Corporate Initiatives

  • With the MSD, assist in the efficient management and flawless execution of corporate-developed marketing initiatives, including segmentation initiatives.  Under close supervision of the MSD, work to increase Net Operating Income (NOI) through special projects, such as beverage, gift card, Ticketmaster and photo sales.  This may include, but is not limited to, the development, implementation and tracking of a transactional revenue marketing plan.


Holiday

  • Work with the Facilities Director, MSD and outside vendors (i.e., photo operator, décor set up team, etc.) to coordinate all seasonal activities and programs.  Oversee any holiday entertainment components.

General Administrative

  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including, but not limited to, answering the telephones, taking messages, responding to tenant and customer inquiries, preparing correspondence and reports, and other administrative duties, as required.

Public Relations

  • Coordinate all press releases in cooperation with corporate initiatives and center specific PR efforts.  Monitor and compile market/competitive information.

Market Research

  • Conduct monthly mall intercepts, prepare reports and submit to the corporate Customer Knowledge Department.

Other duties, as required, may include:

  • Interactive Responsibilities
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive information on tenants and products within the Center Website. Meet with each tenant on a consistent basis for the purpose of promoting the website, gathering offers and information for the tenant’s store page, and obtaining the tenant’s sales results information, based on past website offer listings.  Gather and input data on a continual basis into the Center Website Administrative tool.  Write necessary copy for the website and the e-bulletin listings, with the guidance of the MSD.  Work with corporate office to fulfill responsibilities of Company’s social media and mobile media strategies.

  • Must have a basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Strong telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Must have a professional and positive demeanor

Experience and Training

  • Previous experience in event planning, print production and/or graphic design is preferred
  • Previous administrative experience is preferred

Education/Vocational Training

  • High School Degree or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field is preferred

Essential Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Ability to use a computer for long periods of time
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to handle documents and files
  • Must be able to work under short-term deadlines and work under stress
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel and bend
  • Must be able to arrange displays, collateral and event materials
  • Must be able to navigate event settings, multiple levels of a shopping center and various retail settings on a frequent basis
  • Must have strong visual and audio acuity
